The Google Pixel is great Android phone made by HTC on behalf of Google. The phone includes some great specs to keep any savvy smart phone user happy.
Pixel Specs
The phones comes in two different sizes; the Pixel has a 5" AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080x1920 (441 ppi) while the Pixel XL a 5.5" AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440x2560 (534 ppi) and both use 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
For storage, both Pixel phones come with either 32 GB or 128 GB of storage, but there is no SD card reader for expansion as found on many other Android phones.
The Pixel also has plenty of power, with a quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor and a separate Adreno 530 to power graphics for all your handheld gaming needs. Both the Pixel and Pixel XL have 4GB of RAM.
Battery life is also impressive, and should easily last most people for a whole day. The Pixel has a 2,770 mAh battery, while the Pixel XL has a 3,450 mAh battery. The phone charges through a USB Type-C connector using the USB 3.0 standard. A 15 minute charge will get the battery to about 70%.
The Pixel also features a 12.3 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 8 megapixel front-facing "selfie" camera.
Pixel Plans
The Pixel is available on a contract exclusively through Telstra. There are plenty of plans to choose from that should suit everyone’s need. All contracts are 24 months.
Light Data Usage
If you aren't a huge caller, and can live with 1GB of data per month, then these plans might be for you.
